About Vinhus Restaurant and Grill

Welcome to our Portuguese restaurant on Pompano Beach labor of love from a family with over four decades of culinary passion and experience.

Our story began in New Jersey, where my husband opened Sagres in 1998. With his Portuguese heritage and over 45 years as a chef, he crafted an authentic dining experience that won the hearts of many. Together, we have dedicated our lives to sharing the rich flavors and traditions of Portuguese cuisine.

Now, we are excited to bring that same passion to Florida. Our move to Pompano Beach marks a new chapter, but our commitment to quality and authenticity remains unchanged. We love what we do and are thrilled to share our journey and our cuisine with you.

Great dinner, atmosphere and overall experience. Loved the grilled cod. Cooked to perfection. The wine was delicious. But, most of all, we loved the ambience, and the warm attention to detail. We highly recommend Vinhus for authentic Portuguese food. We will definitely go back. It's a great value.

Food and atmosphere was excellent! Felt like I was in the north east.. RTP on TV too!! Authentic Portuguese food with the classic Portuguese decor. First place in Florida that I’ve had good Portuguese food other than my house. One of my favorites Shrimp Mozambique. Sangria was very good… almost like my Dad’s!!

Vinhus was Amazing!! The food, service and atmosphere were outstanding!!! I am portugues and it reminded me of home!! My husband and I will be coming here a lot more!! A must try!!!

Amazing food, everything was well cooked and so rich taste. Americo the owner was so attentive and thoughtful. We were so impressed with everything that we are already planing to come back to taste different dishes. Lovely place! Highly recommend it.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food here is outstanding—every dish is full of flavor and clearly made with care. The desserts are just as incredible, and the drinks are wonderful. Everything we tried was delicious. The service is top-notch as well. The staff is attentive, friendly, and really makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. This is the kind of place I could honestly eat at every day. It's a bit expensive. If you’re looking for authentic Portuguese food with excellent service, this place is a must. Highly recommend!
